BRIEF NOTE

STATISTICAL INVESTIGATORS GRADE-IV EXAMINATION, 2008

Staff Selection Commission will hold on SUNDAY, the 25th May, 2008, an open competitive examination for recruitment to the post of Statistical Investigator  Grade IV of Subordinate Statistical Service (SSS), a Group “C” non-Gazetted non-Ministerial post  in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation in the Pay Scale of Rs.5000-8000, all over the country.  The details as given below:-

Age Limit 

 

Not exceeding 26 years (not born earlier than 1.3.1982) (as on 29.2.2008). Usual age relaxation will be admissible to SC, ST, OBC, PH, ExS, etc. as per Government orders in force.
 

Reservations

Category-wise reservation of vacancies among SC/ST/OBC/PH etc. are applicable as per extant Govt. orders.

3% reservation the Visually Impaired/Hearing Impaired/and persons with locomotive disability (1% in each category).  OH/HH/VH candidates with the Lower limit of disability for the purpose of reservations, as per Persons with Disabilities Act, 1995 is 40%.  There is, however, no upper limit.

 

Educational Qualification

(As on 29.2.2008)

Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics as one of the main subjects, or

Bachelor’s Degree with Mathematics (with Statistics as a paper studied in one year/two years/all the 3 years as the case may be), as one of the main subjects or

Bachelor’s Degree with Economics (with Statistics as a paper studied in one year/two years/all the 3 years as the case may be) as one of the main subjects, or

Bachelors Degree with Commerce (with Statistics as a paper studied in one year/two years/all the 3 years as the case may be), as one of the main subjects.

 

Fee & Mode of Payment

Rs.80/- by means of Central Recruitment Fee Stamp (CRFS) only.  No fee for SC/ST/PH & Ex-Servicemen.
